Hudson County Medical Society Names Nan Gallagher as General Counsel

Nan Gallagher attended the Hudson County Medical Society Grand Reopening Reception on Wednesday, November 15th at Son Cubano in West New York where she was honored to be named the new General Counsel to the Society.

Amidst a fantastic nighttime view of the New York City skyline, a strong showing of physicians gathered to enjoy cocktails and delicious butler-passed hors d’oeuvres in loyal support of the relaunching of the Hudson County Medical Society.  Speakers at the event included Executive Director Eve Domercant, President Dr. Chitra Kumar, and Larry Downs of the Medical Society of New Jersey (MSNJ).  Ms. Gallagher, stated, “I am excited by the renaissance of the Society and look forward to helping to educate and serve its members.”

“Having Nan Gallagher as our General Counsel will be a tremendous benefit for our county moving forward.”, Eve Domercant said, “We look forward to the exciting times ahead.”

According to the Hudson County Medical Society website, the county medical society’s mission is, “To promote the betterment of the public health and the science and the art of medicine, to enlighten public opinion in regard to the problems of medicine, and to safeguard the rights of the practitioners of medicine.”

Ms. Gallagher has devoted her career exclusively to the advocacy of healthcare professionals and entities. An accomplished healthcare litigation and administrative attorney, she focuses her practice on licensing, regulatory and credentialing matters in New Jersey and New York, medical staff governance matters, employment and labor counseling, audits and appeals, fee negotiations, billing and coding counseling, and regulatory compliance and risk management counseling.
